Hurricane Season Isn’t Over

2020 continues to be a record breaking hurricane season. We’re well into the Greek alphabet with another month to go in the 2020 season. Florida is now in the cone of uncertainty for Tropical Storm Eta. While we don’t expect the destructive winds that Hurricane Laura brought to Louisiana, we don’t need a major hurricane to cause damage. We all remember Hurricane Katrina making landfall in Miami-Dade with minimal category one winds and causing an overpass under construction to collapse.

With all the rain Florida has received over the last month, Eta’s biggest threat may be from flooding. Even a tropical storm can bring intense flooding much like Hurricane Sally did to the Gulf Coast. Whether it’s wind or water damage, know that our team will be here with offices throughout the state to assist you in recovering from the storm.
